Cerinthe, couldn't say which species but C. major purpurescens most common
Thought it may be a Sedum but nutcutlet... as always.... gets the ID right

Many thanks everyone. Makes sense as I grew a few last year so it must have self seeded. I should have recognised it, but now I know!
