Using your finger nail srape a bit from the hard stems if there is any sign of green it has some life in it .if result is a dry stick you could try cutting it back a little and see if it throws New foliage up. Even so the leaves look too dry to absorb water. In my experience I've cut back leaves and the year later it has new foliage.have also sent you pm
