Potatoes sprouting from mounds

I am growing potatoes (roseval) they are flowering and in great shape very tall but they are sending up lots of new plants from the mounds. Should I cut them off?

No. These are new stems with extra foliage that will help feed your tubers. Earth them up if you can as this helps protect the spuds below from going green if the soil is a bit thin and lets in sunlight.
Thank you! That's a relief! I am already harvesting armandine potatoes that I grew under a makeshift polytunnel that are massive tubers but the foliage was quite small. I heard that you can have plants with lots of foliage but not many potatoes, not sure if that's true. Many thanks again.

Thank you. They are just about to open their flowers some are over 3 feet tall, thick stems and lots of new shoots coming out over the mounds which I now know is a good thing!
