plant id please

Hi I'm new to gardening and would like to tackle my front garden myself

I have some plants and a bush that id like id on please

I have a number of pink/reddish plants (as shown on picture)can i cut thesedown and will they re grow?

The bush (as shown on picture) is that alright to trim and will it keep on growing?

    The red is Centranthus ruber, aka Valerian, bees love the flowers, it will regrow if cut back.

    I can't see the bush, clearly. Can you get a closer view to show the leaf shape. One of the spiraeas is a possibility

     It's Red Valerian (not Common Valerian). Also comes in white & pink (still called Red Valerian).
