Good year for wildflowers?

The road verges in the rural areas round here are full of wild flowers and some large patches of orchids and I've also noted the hawthorns are laden with blossom and the horsechestnuts have masses of candles
I agree, the wildflowers seem particularly noticeable and to be flourishing very well this year. Perhaps it has to do with the warm and dry Spring we had.
