Brassica Brussel sprout plant

i have grown these brussel sprout plants from seed,I did have sprouts grow on them at the stalk but then they continued you grow tall and now are forming what look like runner beans hanging off them obviously I know they are not but was just wondering what they are?imageimage

    They are seed pods. If they go brown you can harvest the seed to sow next year. ( too late this year.) If it is an old variety it will come true to type. If it was an F1 you will still get brussels, but they could be very variable from the original.

    I have read that most varieties of sprout plants grow to 4ft this is way above that is this normal?
