Sicilian Honey Lily Flower problems..

Morning all,  I planted Sicilian Honey Lily bulbs and the plants have done well, grown high, and the umbels flowered well, in terms of how many long stalks with buds there are.  On some plants, only some of the bud stalks have opened, the others have turned pale brown and seem empty.  Does anyone know what the problem may be?

Have you got a photo? Did they go through all the pointing up, then drooping down, then pointing up again stages?

Had to google the name. It's Nectaroscordum silicum, never heard the honey lily name before

Thanks nutcutlet..........These are just a couple of them, some of the buds are still green, but hopefully you can see that some are pale brown and these feel empty.  Never grown these before so I'm not sure if it's normal in the first year?

The flowers aren't that conspicuous and also brownish, you could miss them.

The few that are hanging down are in flower but those brown ones pointing upwards have flowered and are going to seed.

The one's that did/do  flower are pretty and pink, the bees love them........the problem is that these brown one's have never opened at all, they've just withered away.  Thanks for your thoughts, hopefully next year will improve.
