potato vine

My potato vine is in its 2nd year and growing against the trellis very well.  It has had a nice showing of flowers - which have now all finished.  I have dead headed it.  Will it flower again this season?  I was hoping to have a show of mauve flowers all through the summer, but at the moment it's just green!

Potato vine (assuming this is Solanum Crispum 'Glasnevin' ) flower better if you planted it on a sunny wall. They also flower in flushes. It's not uncommon for gaps in flowering time. If you want masses of flowers, always cut it down or prune it at the beginning of spring. This helps to give it a chance to send out new shoots.

My two year old flowered again last year after I tidied it up after its first flowering.  Not sure if that would apply to all plants, but just reporting what happened to mine.
