Could the top ones be Cosmos seedlings ... those seed leaves look very like cosmos ... I've got lots of self-seeded cosmos appearing in my borders.
I was an idiot and sowed a load of seed in my new bed, without marking what was what. On reflection I think the top one was one of my dill plants!
Doh! Chop it up and sprinkle it on your lunch
is the last one Fat Hen?
It has that look about it Hosta, but I can't see the leaf s. shape and surface clearly
Can anyone advise on what book/resource I can use to train myself to identify weeds?
There are websites ... one here
http://theseedsite.co.uk/seedlings.html
but the best way of learning is practice.
Sowing your seeds in rows or defined patches and label them will also help.
And of course, don't be shy of asking us ... we're always happy to help
We have history with fat hen...
