Moving campanula
I have an old wall which has campanula growing abundantly - pls see photo - but the wall is leaning and needs to be taken down & rebuilt. I don't want to lose the campanula - how would you recommend I go about a) removing it cleanly b) storing it and c) re-introducing it?

soak it before removing it,
remove it as the wall comes down. Make sure you get as much root as you can,
once removed cut the plants back to 3-4 inches long (measure from the joint between roots and plants)
get a large module tray (or seed tray) and plant into a decent sandy compost mix.
water and place somewhere shady
when you want to reintroduce try and get the builder to leave some gaps in the mortar when rebuilding (if not you have to chip the freshly made mortar out and its a pain) or alternately ask for a trench to be left in the top of the wall as a planting pocket.
push some sandy compost into the gap and ram the roots in (you might have to cut back the roots a bit - as long as they're about 1 inch long they will recover fine. pack around with more compost and water well, you'll have to water weekly for a couple of week but they should be fine.
