Please can anyone advise hardy plants that would love a hot sunny conservatory?

When you say 'hardy plants' do you mean plants that can cope with several degrees of frost in the winter ... Or do you mean plants that will need the protection of a frost free conservatory all year round but are otherwise fairly simple to care for?

its not about how hot it gets in summer, its about how cold it gets in winter.

if it doesn't go below 10-15 degrees in winter then some plants will be fine, if it goes below 5 degrees then plant ideas change.

cvdennett ... thanks for your Private Message ... in it you say " i mean hardy as in.. wont die in conservatory heat. I will water regularly, but it gets hot and dry in there. "

I can't even keep my pelagoniums in mine through the summer, much too hot, they overwinter well through the winter though.

the other one, which doesn't get quite so hot has a few plants in it, Bird of Paradise, a fig tree, but even then I put both out for the summer.

Plants you could consider are some of the bromeliads ... Ananas comosus likes warm temperatures and bright sunlight.

Cacti and succulents will love it - I have a row on my hot south facing windowsill. A few will take quite low temps providing they are kept dry, but at least frost free is safest and better a bit higher.

My windowsill is narrow, so can only take small pots, you could grow some super specimens!
