Cracked terracotta urn

Just noticed this today.  Bought it from a junk shop recently and suspect it's either not meant for outside or has spent many years indoors.

Anyone know about how to fix cracks in terracotta pots - if it can be achieved?

Many thanks.image

Thanks chrissie B:  might give that a try - although I'm wondering if I seal up one crack - it will just then start to crack all over.  Always worth a try though.  I'm suspecting it's maybe an 'indoor' urn although it felt robust enough to be outside.  Maybe filled with compost has not been the best thing for it.  Will be disappointed not to keep using it though because I like 'the look' and it's so expensive to buy big urn-type containers.

Ooh- thanks nutcutlet.  Will have to wait until the constant rain decides to move on - which according to the forecast here is not until 25th June!!!!  Time to order online I think.

Gorilla glue. It's currently holding a post onto the  side of my house - which has a gate attached to it  image

I've used sealant on terracotta pots in the past. It works quite well too.

I have a terracota pot that has cracked up the top like yours but the crack stops halfway down. I simply got some large sized clear cable ties, connected several together them and then hooped them around the top under the lip of the pot and then pulled as tight as they could go.  Been like that for at least 6 years.  Been out in wind, rain, snow, ice, sunshine, etc, and still going.
