    My neighbour and myself had this problem with it growing up through paving stones. She had an ancient gardener who had worked on an estate and told her to keep pouring boiling water over them. She past the info onto me and it worked but you have to persevere

    The trouble with that method is the cost of heating teh water and what the boiling des to all the micro-organisms in the soil.   I had it in parts of my last garden in both soil and between teeny Belgian pavers and found constant hoeing worked well and a special paving tool for the pavers.  This one - https://www.worldofwolf.co.uk/categories/multi-change-tools/product/wolf-garten-multi-change-garden-scraper/FKM~FKM
