Tomatoes rotting

Any idea what is causing this. Tomatoes grow ok but rot like this before turning red.

Thank you

John

    Hi

Apologies but I am finding it impossible to post the picture. Using Chrome, Windows 8. Any ideas?

I'm using chrome/WIn10 and it's ok for me.
Once you've clicked on your photo and confirmed do you see the progress bar moving from left to right at the bottom of the message pane?

Some folk here reduce the size of their photos before uploading - I'have no problem with photo's 2-3mb

Try re-sizing it Giovanni - for a web page it doesn't need to be hi-res, something around 250k will still give good detail

I have had BER on occasion on my toms. I can't recall any particular reason that I can think of. The fruits that are damaged will obviously not recover, but this article gives some help and reassuringly later fruits will hopefully be ok

Inconsistent watering is the usual cause Giovanni. Leaving plants until they look like they need a watering is the best method, but it's also important to simply try and stick to whatever regime you've started with.  image

Lack of calcium is a factor sometimes,  but watering is the most common reason.

Has your blossom end rotted recently pansy? You can get ointment for that.... image
