plant identification

Hi everyone, just moved and now have a huge garden. This plant is growing all around but I have not seen it before, could anyone help me identify it? it is driving me nuts not knowing lol

    I'd guess a spirea poss Spiraea douglasii

    I just went and cut a piece off and have compared it to some photos online and yes I think it is indeed a spirea.  Thanks for your help.

    Hi Chrissie,  we have just moved into this property and it is everywhere, Growing inbetween other plants so will be hard to remove.  I will have to keep and eye on it and get out what i can.  Many thanks for your advice.
