That's great because mine is also on the north facing side and it has flowered really nicely. It's gets strong morning sun. It has kept its lilac colour beautifully. I have heard if it is in full sun, the colour is paler. But I really need to repot it asap.
We had Nelly in the last garden - she never repeat flowered for us.
I would repot now, whilst the roots are still growing strongly. You don't want to repot and have it sitting in compost. For acers I have had advice to never repot after end July, as the roots won't get a chance to grow to the new pot size before winter sets in.....not sure if that holds for other plants though
Nelly Moser is a Group 2 Clematis, it should have two flushes of flowers, depending on the pruning. The first flush is on the growth from the previous year and the second is on new growth. For this reason Nelly should not be cut hard back like Group 3.

I did have it... One season and it died from wilt (sob). Pretty while it lasted ?. Was also on a north facing trellis so definitely takes shade.
