Help - What is this plant?!
Hi,
I saw saw this stunning plant today (pictured) in someone else's garden and presumed it was some kind of Knapweed but I've been searching online for hours and can't find it anywhere. I really want to grow it myself but am struggling to identify it. I can only find red cornflowers but no Knapweed and nothing else looks remotely close. Please help?!
Thanks in advance,
Gillian

Pretty sure it's Cirsium rivulare 'atropurpureum'

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
It's a cirsium. All the rage at Chelsea Flower Show for sevreal years but not this year. Still a good one tho -
