I got given a tree, but what is it?? Thanks in advance
It looks a bit like a paw paw I had years ago - but could well be way off
walnut?
A strong contender would be Juglans cinerea (Butternut) ; native to N.America and Eastern Canada .
Very hardy but not suitable for container cultivation for too long , as can be vigorous given 'free root-run'.
Hope this helps !
Looks very much like a walnut....juglans regia. Will grow big....give it space!
Thankyou. I will go with walnut then
