    I think that's 'Anne Boleyn'... but it would be good to know how tall and wide is this rose, and when was it bought and planted - what year?

    A close up of prickles and foliage also helps, but for now if you want to check that one out and see what you think...

    It looks like it's a climber. Maybe David Austin's A Shropshire Lad or James Galway?

    I've looked at the roses suggested and the closes is James Galway, 

    i cant answer all the questions asked by Morelena as I inherited the rose when I bought the house but it has got thorns and is about 8ft tall and 8ft wide and it has got a wonderful perfume.
