So happy with sweet peas!! They are flourishing in our east of england weather!! Used a tripod method but next year cordon with 8 ft canes me thinks!!!

love a sweet pea here, I'm in east of England too. mine are only a foot high but I sowed them in early spring, when did you sow yours? are they in bloom?

My sweet peas are only about 14"...........seem to be taking forever to grow this year
I started my sweet peas off in the greenhouse about October. After initially losing quite a few to mice (I had grown about 100) I re-sowed some new ones and they flourished really well. We didn't have a bad winter here in East Anglia. Growing in Autumn is the way to go because they are really healthy plants. I've got about 150 growing up strings. I feed them with miracle gro once a week and they are now flowering. I will grow them up canes next year as this was my first attempt at growing them in bulk just to see if I could do it! Really really pleased the smell is superb.!! I really wish i could put a photo on I'm using my phone and clicking the photo icon but nothings happening!? Please help.

Photos are hit and miss here, I have found. Taking advice from another member I take the photos on my phone and bluetooth them to my laptop, then click on camera to right of this dialogue box, it asks where I want to get the photos from, I go to files and double click the photos I want to load. You will know you are successful when a coloured (Blue I think) line moves from left to right across the bottom of this dialogue box. As I said earlier, I find it to be very hit and miss, there is a thread about photos I started a few days ago if you want to check that out for more tips.
Looking forward to seeing your sweet peas, mine are only 2' tall.

Hi I have had a go! I have had to go on my laptop and upload all my photos off my phone but perhaps thats the way to go! I hope you can see my sweet peas with this photo.
I built a teepee out of canes for my kids and planted sweet peas at the base of each and they arent even 30cm tall yet!! The growth is speeding up but I thought they would be a lot bigger by now - (I did buy ready grown ones from b&m for £1 mind haha)
anything I can do to help them along? Or just wait it out?
