Help to ID plant/weed

Hi there just moved house and very new to gardening . I initially thought this was a plant but it's sprung up in a random area and now I'm wondering if it's actually a weed? Thanks in advance Karen
ps also wondering if this heather in the top photo is past it's best and should I be thinking about replacing it??

Just trim off the flower heads of your heather and it will bloom again next winter.
The second pic is a pulmonaria - a beautiful plant that flowers in the early spring every year.

Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.
Just to add, Pulmonaria is a great nectar source for bees in the early spring, so an important flower to have in your garden ... lots of different varieties with flowers varying from different shades of white/pale blue to pink and dark blue

Thanks so much for the prompt response! I must have just missed the flowering when I moved in. Just to add i checked out the pictures of the plant online and it really is lovely ! Great the bees like it too
