Marguerite

I recently bought a Marguerite that was full of flowers and I chose it specifically because there seemed to be many buds coming through, however the buds have come to nothing and now it is almost flowerless! My initial suspicion is that birds are eating the buds as they seem to form but then never flower but is this likely and what can I do to resolve it? Many thanks.

Is it dry? Have you been keeping it well watered? Don't think the birds would be eating the beds. Have the buds just withered?
