Feeding hedgehogs

I'm trying to figure out a way of putting out food for hedgehogs so that it can't be taken by our resident herring gull or the neighbour's cats. Any suggestions?

We built a very simple food tunnel with instructions online from The British Hedgehog Preservation Society. There is also lots of useful info on what to feed them. We recenand are thrilled to fiind thatwe have at least 2 hedgehogs on a regular basis. Good luck.
Whoops. I had trouble posting this and as a result the text went haywire. The last but one sentence should read "We recently bought a trail camera and are thrilled to see that we have at least 2 hedgehogs."

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I would love to have hedgehogs but unfortunately everyones, including my garden, are bordered with concrete walls.

I place mine with a brick on top against the shed with a hedgehog sized gap so the cats can't squeeze through & use their paws to scoop the food nearer:

Thanks everyone. I'll look at the hedgehog websites. Two years ago we saw a hedgehog four times in our garden but it didn't come back. I'll try to encourage them to come again.
I use 2 breeze blocks placed on their side with planks of wood (weighed down with a couple of bricks) as a roof. This is just a trial before I spend money on something permanent and it certainly keeps the magpies and jackdaws away.
