peony

I purchased a yellow peony last yr in early spring. I planted the peony not far from my red peony, Now this is the second summer so far and not 1 bud on this plant.  My red has bloomed for the last 3 years.

    Some peonies take a long time to flower. They like their roots near the surface and lots of sun on them to encourage flowering the following year so make sure your youngster is getting lots of light and space and keep your fingers crossed. I think the more unusual, the more fussy, too, so it may need pampering
