Grass Scissors

I need to replace my grass scissors which I've had for many years. Looking for a replacement all the scissors I can find advertised are described as hedge trimmers. I want the scissors is for cutting grass around shrubs, edging borders,  cutting grass and bulb foliage which has gone yellow. I don't want a long handled edge  trimmer. I risked buying a small scissors labelled "hedge / shrub trimmer" branded "Silverline" but I found that it does not cut grass! Can anyone recommend a traditional grass scissors?

Thank you in anticipation.

Hi Irfon. I think from your description you might mean something like sheep shears? I have never heard of grass scissors at all. Will this link help you:

Topiary shears - the same thing as the ones on the link Ladybird provided. There isn't really anything else I know of, unless you just buy ordinary large scissors. Possibly the kind for wallpapering would be best.

They have them in BM Bargains for a few quid! Probably not built to last but they are fit for purpose.

    Hi

In my opinion, grass scissors are not very effective, based on personal use. I required some from a friend who gave them a zero rating. I re-sharpened the blades and oiled the turning mechanism that gives you flat and edge position. Used them for about a week and the mechanism seised up and the blades were as dull as a wet weekend.

They were good brand, I believe it was Fiskar but don't waste your money
