Easily grown from seeds and you can't get rid of it once you've got it.  The bees go mad for it.

Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

Is this a weed? If not, what is it and should I dig it up and pot it?

That's one of the willowherbs - not a keeper, but if you let it flower you might not get a choice as the fluffy seeds blow everywhere.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
