hi have seen what looks like spit on my roses it seems to be at the base of the leaves I've wiped it off it looks like there's a ltitle aphid or grub in the spit,can anyone tell me what it is and how to get rid of them

It'll be a little froghopper Sheila. They really don't cause any issues.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
