Wall mounted hose reel?

Please could somebody recommend a good wall mounted hose reel?

I need it to be securely fixed to the wall (I don't want somebody stealing it! Yes it's possible) and piece de resistance - not drip!!

Does such a wonderful object actually exist?

I have a 40m Hozelock reel, wall mounted.    It works fine and doesn't drip as long as you remember to turn off the outside tap to which it is connected as the pressure build up will be too much when not in use.

It has a support bracket which is screwed to the wall and then it slots onto that.   You'd have to ask Hozelock or the shop how easy it would be to make it thief proof but I've never bothered as it isn't in view.

Until now I have been wandering through the house to the kitchen at the back with countless watering cans full! Such a palava. Im finally getting an outside tap fitted this week so I'm going to treat myself to a posh new hose too. Sad life I know image

Haha! Don't be jinxing me now!

The dog will miss the 'game' of helping me water, complete with a new toy to be discarded on the lawn each and every time image so he'll be sorted if I have to go back to the old method.

    Hi

if you want a wall mounted hose real that takes about 40m of hose pipe, looks authentic and work very effectively then your local Scewfix do one for about £15. It totally made from lightweight metal and painted black. It reals out and reals in in no time. Had Hoselock reals and they seem to last a few years and breakdown normaly from the inner supply hose fitted inside the hoserself housing. Had my screwfix hosereal for 3 years without a problem

  • Well £15 sounds better! image

I'll go and have a look at those too, thank you greenfingers steve

My friend brought the same hose real from screw fix this year and payed £24 (just shows you how 3 years how the cost has risen). Just thought it would be best to organise you know it's possibly going to be more that what I paid for it 3 years ago

Still a heck of a lot cheaper than Hozelock! O/s tap being fitted today - well, when the guy actually turns up - so I'll get to comparing.
