Bidens?

Looking for plants to creep around my wildlife pond, I bought 4 bidens 'golden eye'  - would they be a valuable addition or are they so vigorous I'll regret?

The water is now crystal clear and I have a pair of newts (one with a very bulging tummy) and a single pond skater - and 4 zillion gnat larvae

Thanks

Is Bidens a wildlife pond plant? I didn't know that. I bought 2 for my hanging baskets, but didn't use them as they didn't look right, and then I put them into separate pots. They have not grown at all so they don't seem that vigorous to me!

Bidens is a patio plant, they are only annuals, not suitable for ponds.

Thanks for enlightening me - for some reason I thought they were vigorous perennials - I'll find somewhere for them
I shall revert to ajuga for something low and creeping to grow around the pond
