Is this a Marigold?
This fabulous mystery plant has appeared in the garden and I'm wondering what it is.
The flowers open in the sun and look very much like a flat headed Marigold, but there's loads of flower heads per stem.
The tallest stem is 18-20 inches and the others are fast catching up.
(The leaves seen in the first picture are from a different plant, obviously.)
Thanks, Valerie

No, it is Orange Hawkweed.
Beautiful, but can be invasive.

Hi Valerie. It is Pilosella aurantiaca. Commonly called Fox and Cubs or Orange Hawkweed. It can become invasive but I like it

I knew I could rely on you.
I think it's a great colour addition to my garden. But I'll keep an eye out for the invasion.
Thanks
