Dupoint Root Barrier pro - any good @ stopping Bamboo Rhizomes?
in Plants
Hi all
So we have decided to get some 3 meter high phyllostachys bamboo to screen the neighbours out (waving at us while we are in our bedroom - ) and now I am shoping about for some bamboo rhyzome membrane.
Most options are really expensive however i saw a website with Dupoint Root Barrier pro which seems a lot more reasonable but is described as a fabric.
Has anyone used this before?
I came very close to buying some really cheap HDPE from a website but it's only .05mm thick ....which is essentially a bin liner!

I planted 15 raspberry canes last year and wanted to stop the runners going all over the place so I bought this -

Unfortunately only 2 of the canes actually grew, so I haven't bothered trying it.
It is very heavy and like a thick plastic, I can't imagine any roots getting through it.
