help

Hey guys.
New member here. Only been gardening a few yrs. And growing more plants from seed. Can anyone tell me if I should remove flowers from young plants to encourage growth. I have six lupins and every one has a few leaf stems, nothing more than four ,only a few months old. But everyone has a big flower stem. Do you remove the flower to promote more growth in the plant. Simular thing with the delphiniums.
Cheers guys.

You could remove the flowers on half of them so you can see some reward for your effort and then at the end of the year you can see whether this has helped to give bigger plants. It should in theory. A little experiment you can stow away for future years.
Cheers guys. I'll give it a go today. Seems like logic and I'm sure I must have heard it before some where. But didn't know if it only applied to particular plants. Last yr I did to a hydrangea only to find out next yrs flowers grow from last year's old flower buds. thanks again.
