Clematis
Hello Gardeners!
I have a well established clematis over my summer house. Just as it was coming into leaf/bud this year, I noticed that one of the barge boards on the summer house was broken and that the clematis was sagging to the right as a result. I moved the bulk of the clematis to the front of the summer house to gain access to the board but the whole thing slipped forward and landed on the ground. I tried not to disturb it too much, fixed the barge board and gently put the plant back to where it was.
A week or so later I noticed that there wasn't much progress with the leaves or buds and the whole thing looks dead.
My question to those of you who mnow much much more about gardening than me is: is my clematis really dead or is it sulking because I moved it at a crucial time? There are no apparent breaks in the main stems and it has always been in rude health until now. It's looking very sad and sorry for itself with all those bare branches
I hope someone can help!
Many thanks
Julia
