We hadn't made time to re-pot the original one and somehow it was still standing after having 3 feet of water flowing over it for about 4 hours. I still aspire to having it look like some of the lovely specimens in pics on this thread, so once we've done the more pressing clearing up we will definitely get back to re-potting it and hope for the best!
No longer newish but can't think of a new name so will remain forever newish.
