Id love some suggestions for plants to grow in clay soil please for a south facing bed

Roses, geraniums, geums, peonies, amelanchiers, crab apples, crocosmia, euphorbia.
For a start

Verbena bonarensis,cosmos,pansies, alliums, Californian poppy,,euphorbia ,centauria, buddleia, lilac, grasses,clematis. In fact you can grow pretty much anything that likes the sun - but don't bother with heather or rhododendrons.
Euphorbias for a bit of drama, campanulas, bears breeches....and most of the garden geraniums (cranesbills)
