Demon cat

Last year I bought my first Tradescantia (white flower with purple center) . Within a few weeks one of my cats had taken a fancy to it and everytime he passed it he took a bite. After I had moved it to a safer place it started to re grow and was soon looking lovely again. Within a very short period.the demon cat had found it and would sit and bite the stems until they had all gone. This year i have tried everything to keep him away but today he managed to push the pot of the windowsill it was on just to get a better bite!!!!!!! Can anyone tell me why this is the only plant in my garden which gets this special attention and is it bad for the cat.?

I don't know why but I remember years ago I had a tradescantia house plant that one of my cats chewed to almost nothing.  It didn't seem to harm the cat, but the plant was a mess.  image

I have no advice, but my cats are the same with every single plant I've ever owned- the little so and sos are rude enough to sick the leaves back up onto my carpet too ?

One of our kittens had a thing about the asparagus fern and either chewed it or dug in it so it has had to be moved.  In previous feline times, I had one that nested in a tradescantia.

I have also had cats completely ignore catmint planted for their entertainment.  Who can say what cats think?

Certainly not Papi Jo.  They're so entertaining and cuddly too.
