I would like to pass on a great tip for keeping Ants off your fruit trees. Wrap fly paper around the base of the trunk of the tree. The Ants will not try and pass over it, they will turn back, if they do attempt a crossing they get stuck in the glue. We have had a problem with Ants farming aphids on the leaves of the trees for years, not any more ☺
