Flame weed killer

Just got a small flame weed killer, saw Momnty using one on GW so thought I'd give it a go. I seem to think he mowed the paths first then used the flame on the cracks reaching the roots better. I'm going to try it on full weeds tonight and might try the mow first technique tomorrow. Looks like good fun! image

It is good fun, but I never found mine very effective :(

Any thing that involves fire has got to be good and if it doesn't work, at least it will be fun.

they're fun to use, but pretty useless against perennial weeds,

to be more effective I spray with roundup (other brands of weed killer available) give it a couple of days and then burn the top off.

Best way to use is to go over the weeds on day 1. Wait 24 hours and then do it again. I find mine very useful for reducing the number of seeds which weeds seem to produce.

Has no effect on Pearlwort,(Sagina procumbens)  but then neither does Roundup or any other weed killer.

Aldi were selling them last week for £9.95. I found the large gas bottles don't last long.
