budding bud grafting course in Scotland?

Hello, I've just signed up to this site and am looking forward to learning useful gardening information.

i live on a farm in Angus, on north east Scotland where the climate is surprisingly sunny and dryer than other areas of the uk thst I have lived in. Have a medium size garden, a full greenhouse and am growing lots of trees to plant around the farm.

I have read about bud grafting (have a lot of apple trees!) and wondered if anyone knows of any courses in central/east Scotland where I can learn this technique?

thank you!

Don't know of any. Have you checked YouTube? There is a diverse range of videos on there so you may be lucky.

Hi, yes there are some great videos showing it on YouTube, but I liked the idea of being shown and taught this in the flesh. Never mind, I'll manage!

I would try the botanic gardens in Edinburgh. They are not advertising such a course, but may be able to help or direct you further.

Local gardening club? It's a skill an old gardener would have. It's not that complicated.
