Help please in identifying this plant

image

This plant is about 30 to 45 cms tall. I have never seen any flowers and is very persistent and spreads. Weed killer slowed down the growth but it keeps coming back. Has anyone have any idea what it is and how to get rid of it?

Looks like the infamous Ground elder to me. Not the easiest of plants to kill off even with weed killer. All you can do is keep hitting it.

Fork it out, every bit left will send up new shoots. Hit the second flush with glyphosate. Hit the third flush with glyphosate. Good luck. Do not compost what you fork out. Either send it to the council in green waste bins or burn it.

patience, persistence and a methodical approach.

When you dig you'll see white, fleshy roots, you need to break none of them and methodically get rid of them.

If you have money, get a digger and take out the top soil and replace it!!

Many thanks for all your comments.

I won't need to go to the gym because I'll be keeping fit removing my ground elder.
