Cherry Tree Canker/ Bark Split

Hi,
We have a cherry tree which had a bark split issue. Now I have noticed some bacterial canker around that area. What would be the best way to treat it. It is a good tree bearing cherries and I dont want to loose it. I have attached pictures for your reference.
