Am I Fragrant!
Just wondering, do I smell like a fragrant flower....or something else? The problem is, when I go out into the garden I seem to attract all sorts of flies, you know, the sort that like a little nibble! I've tried insect repellent, but they would repel everything, it's hard to breathe through that disgusting pong. So, does anyone know of something that would work naturally, or am I doomed to smell like a chemical disaster. Any comments would be helpful, thanks in anticipation.

Try Avon Skin so Soft Dry OIl spray ... it has citronella in it ... apparently the British Army buy it by the bucket load when on manoeuvres ... it worked for me on the West coast of Scotland ... most people seem to find it works although some say it doesn't but it's not expensive so it's worth trying, and it smells nice

That sounds brilliant, I don't think I'd survive where you are because I think the midges would eat me alive but thanks for that suggestion, I'll give it a go.
I'm not up on the west coast of Scotland now ... that was a holiday ... but I am on the edge of the Norfolk Broads, just on the edge of some marshes and we have a pond in the garden ... and I am also allergic to mosquito bites, they swell up and form horrid fluid-filled blisters which become infected.
However, I've found as I've reached shall we say 'retirement age' the mozzies don't seem half as interested in me as they used to ......... so you've got that to look forward to

I wish, past all that, and it's made no difference! I'm In the Midlands and the blighters home in on me and I don't realise until I'm back in the house usually. Anyway, smelling like a chemical explosion, I'm out in the garden, beautiful sunshine and taking my chances. Avon product ordered, collect early June, so hope it works. Those bites sound horrible, glad they've lost interest in you.
