Frost Damaged Tree Wisteria

Hi sorry I'm new to this

We have a Tree Wisteria, which is normally a fantastic site at this time of year. Unfortunately we got hit by a hard frost,  and it damaged the wisteria beyond belief. All the buds/flowers are dead, except new ones that came out only on the trunk.

I Have pictures if anyone wants to see?

BUT Do I cut it back, leave it or what? we're in a quandary, it's obviously alive, by the growths, but I worry about the "crown"

Any advice would be appreciated.

I would give it a month or two. You will find the dead stuff falls off and new shoots will come. In Autumn, prune any dead wood off when you do the pruning.

  • Thanks very much, we'll follow the instructions and see. what happens
