i grew these from seed that someone gave me, can't remember what they are and can't find on Internet. Help!!!!!!

    Probably not phlomis russelliana which has more sage green leaves and yellow flowers, although in shade I've seen it greener.  There are also purple flowered phlomis with greener leaves so maybe one of those.  You'll know when it flowers.

    Leave the flower stalks and seed heads on thru autumn and over winter as they look great frosted and provide food for birds and shelter for teeny insects.

    My money is on Phlomis, mine are yellow, I love them saw they at Wisley, the others arent mauve Obelixx, they are pink LOL, actually I ant pink ones!

    Well said Dove, dont want to get into a punch-up!  I had a look at the Crocus site thanks Obelixx, I find their site very difficult because the picture goes over the description.  However, I looked up the RHS site, and went to my "nearest" nursery stockist, (not that near still over a 60 mile round trip, and bought 3 phlomis Italica, and RHS and the lady serviing said they are pink, haha. They are planted in my "pink" drift with London Pride, pink flowering rhododendron.
