Tomatoes? Tomatoes!

Hi, I have a couple questions about my toms..I have one tom in a small pot(see pic 1)  thats just started to flower plus a few extra buds already and i'm not sure what would be the best course of action? Shall i cut them off or leave him alone.

Question 2: My toms are currently in 6 inch pots and i am planning to repot them today. I have already repotted a couple into 35 cm pots (see pic 2). Just wondering if this will be big enough or should i go for larger? I am currently growing crimson crush(indeterminate and red alert determinate varieties.

Question 3: I have a couple of tomatoes growing where basically the labels got mixed up and now i'm not sure if its crimson or red alert lol. Is there anyway to tell at this stage? and should i just pinch them both out or leave them both until i can better discern which is which. Apologies for all the questions :)

Pot them into 35cm pots, they will be fine. As long as you keep them fed when the first fruits form.

Why are you thinking of cutting the flowers off?

No way of telling which is which variety unless the leaves are slightly different.  Althpugh Red Alert is a traily type plant so you may well tell which is which from their habit.

    See original post

The only reason is it seems quite early for flowers just wondered if it will hinder growth of the plant.

nope early flowers means early tomatoes, after all you're growing for the fruit not a nice large plant!

Treat em mean keep em keen, folk think toms need really big pots, no, they dont.  Dont take off flowers or buds, they are your toms. never mind about labels, I grew about 10 different types lat year, Hubby planted them but not the labels, so it was wait and see.
