    I have found a nursery about 25kms away that stocks it so am off to have a look some time this month.  In the Vendée so not a lot of use to the OP.

    Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

  • at the weekend I made a return visit to the nursery where Ifirst saw it. I asked if I could pre-order one for spring and she disappeared outside and came back gleefully with a good sized plant so I have one now. Hoorah! I’ve been told not to put it in too exposed a space. Fingers crossed I can make it very happy.

    It made it through all of the snow and ice with only a bit of damage to the leaves and now has lots of buds on it. I have to get it into the bed we are currently building for it (in between work and rain) but i'll post a pic when it's settled in

    and here she is. Beautiful! I hope I can keep it to the space. One of the reasons I liked it is the sprawling habit I've seen in pictures, but a forum member sent me a photo of hers and it's grown into a substantial shrub!
