Bees or wasps?

Can anyone help? Are these bees or wasps? We've just moved in to an old cottage and we think they're nesting in the wall, can anyone identify what they are?

    Definitely bee and not wasp. Difficult to identify without seeing the head end but it may be one of the Masonry Bees.

    It looks very like an Ivy bee or Colletes.
