Cherry Laurel Problems

HI,
Hope someone might be able to help with a problem I have with my cherry laurels. I've noticed that a lot of the new leaf growth have two small spots on the underside close to the stem of the leaf.
Even the very new shoots that have only opened in the last day or so seem to have the spots.
I can't determine if they are insect eggsor something else.
I really hope someone might be able to shed some light on this. Many thanks.
