Dear Ray. Thank you for your update which is very sad to read. I did have a letter from the Administrators to say that the Gardens could not be re-opened this year but they were trying their best for the future. However, as you say, they are deteriorating quickly and they will probably not be in a fit state for the future. Glad to hear about the Rose Society UK; I will be looking into this. With best regards John
Dear John. A thousand apologies for absence of communication. As a recent letter from the Administrators tend to indicate. The RNRS along with the Society's gardens are now destined for the horticultural history books. I have been advised that my membership subscription will be refunded in due course. I presume this also applies to other members.
I have to say the least, signed upto Ray's. The Rose Society. Of course, sadly this is an organisation , a gathering of rose lovers etc, but sadly no specific rose garden. Hence we will have to keep our love for the rose and give support in keeping the rose alive.
John. Sadly I have mislaid your address. Hope we can continue our friendship. Mike.
