I'd give it some filtered sunshine and fresh air ... even a little gentle rain ... during the daytime... but I'd bring it in at night and in heavy weather at least until the night time temperatures are in the mid teens.
Keep the compost fairly dry.
When was it last repotted and what was it potted in?

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Thanks guys. It's my wife's plant and I've just inherited it. Looks a bit pot bound and possibly top dressed with a compost peat mix. I'll repot and introduce more sand I think, lush move it outdoors as suggested. Will keep you all informed. Thanks again.

Dracaena marginata. Yep,it's struggling. Suggest a light spot, not direct sunlight (even outside somewhere sheltered) and let it recover slowly.
